T-Shirt Yarn Creation
Late post from December 2019. I crocheted these two useful items with yarn from old cotton T-shirt. It was a bit challenging because the t-shirts were in small sizes (2-3 years old), so there wasn't enough of the same colour yarn to make something big. I happened to be in need for these 2 items, so I went ahead and tried different combination of colours that would work.

New Blog and Store Name, GentleSoulCraft (previously known as LittleMsBusy)
Hello Everyone,
My store and blog name was previously LittleMsBusy. I've been using the name since around 2011. After careful consideration and reflection, I decided that it was time to update the name to reflect my growth as a crafter and a more accurate representation of what fuelled my root and passion in crafting.
The name GentleSoulCraft was picked to pay respect to my family name that I rarely use. I love my family name as the meaning is so beautiful and it actually reflects my personality and how I perceive the world, the people and other living things on it.
I picked the white rabbit as my logo to pay respect to the first woman who taught me craft, my grandmother. Rabbit was her favourite animal and her Chinese animal zodiac.
I fell in love with craft when I was around 3-4 years old when my grandmother taught me origami and cross stitching. I gradually acquired new craft skills, from sewing, knitting and crocheting. My craft journey is still continuing as I learn new skills. My latest acquired skill was soap and shampoo bars making and I'm currently learning yarn spinning.
All the products in the store were created by me. They are meant to be high quality products that last long and made from natural material, such as wool and cotton. This is my way to counter the fast-fashion and disposable culture in the fashion industry. It has also always been my intention to use Australian made materials, so I source my yarn from Bendigo Woollen Mills. I also started creating my own cotton (T-shirt) yarn which I crocheted into useful day-to-day items to minimise disposable items going to landfill.
I will keep updating my blog with some free patterns, tips, inspiration and work in progress craft projects that I hope will keep you entertained and inspired to do more crafting yourself. Don't forget to check out my Facebook page and Instagram to see new products, sales and events in the store.
